Bid Management
The Sage Timberline Office Bid Management — offered in Standard and Extended versions — provides the tools you need to save substantial time through every phase of the invitation-to-bid process. A password-protected, central online solution allows anyone in your organization to easily create invitation-to-bid packages (ITB) in minutes, and then efficiently distribute them to selected subcontractors via e-mail, by fax, or online. Bid Management assures that you'll generate the bid response needed for timely, accurate and competitive estimates.

Change and process management
Project updates may be subsequently distributed with the same ease and efficiency as ITBs. Included is a convenient online bidders sheet and access to a public subcontractor database to supplement as needed your own private list of subs.

Improved communications
Bid Management is much faster than conventional or PC-based faxing. You're able to process faxes at more than 65 times the volume compared to PC-based modems, allowing you to quickly distribute ITBs and release your fax lines for other communications. If you prefer to keep your faxing in-house, you can also use Bid Management with your own fax server. Bid Management also provides online and e-mail capabilities allowing for even more immediate communications.

Bid Management Standard
Bid Management Standard is designed for single-user environments.

  • Create bid packages and distribute ITBs to subcontractors in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Use the bidders sheet prior to bid day to verify that expected bids will provide complete coverage for a final and competitive estimate.
  • Ensure that minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE) outreach requirements are met.
  • Inform subcontractors of project modifications through notifications and addenda prior to bid day.
  • Identify and locate new subcontractors using the public subcontractor database, and post projects on a public project exchange.
  • Drill down through a project summary to learn of recent activity.
  • Use reporting to delve into the subcontractor directory, project participant lists and bidder sheets.

Bid Management Extended
Bid Management Extended is designed for multi-user environments or for users requiring additional documentation and reporting capabilities. The feature-rich version includes all the benefits in Bid Management Standard, plus the following.

  • Allow all members on an estimating team to access and modify bid information.
  • Improve accuracy and competitiveness of estimates by shifting resources from administering bidding processes and communicating project information to focusing on sourcing materials, analyzing bids, and negotiating prices.
  • Implement internal approval and project bulletin board online.
  • Assign security and access rights at the user level.
  • Distribute comprehensive bid documents including specifications and plans.
  • Provide better access to information with online plan room integration.
  • Add online subcontractor response for more timely communication.
  • Further customize fields and transmittals to fit your company's tracking and documentation needs.
